Neon Drift Rally
★★★★☆ 4.2
Neon Drift Rally is unapologetically arcade. There's no engine tuning to agonize over, just glowing tracks, tight corners, and a drift mechanic that feels fantastic once it clicks. You tap to brake into a slide and hold your line, and stringing drifts together fills a boost meter that becomes its own little rhythm game.
The tilt controls actually work here, which is rare, but there's a tap-steer option if you hate holding your phone at weird angles on public transport. Tracks are short and there are enough of them to keep a career mode ticking along for a good while.
It doesn't reinvent anything, but the core feel is so good that I kept coming back for one more run. That's the whole point of a game like this.
What we liked
- Drift mechanic that's a joy to master
- Tilt or tap controls, both solid
- Short tracks perfect for quick races
